Jim Ross has heaped praise on Bryan Danielson, calling the former WWE Champion “a gift to the business”.
The WWE Hall of Famer has been out of AEW for some weeks, after a fall left him with a black eye and unable to perform his commentary duties.
Meanwhile, Bryan Danielson had some health issues of his own. The American Dragon broke his arm in victory over Kazuchika Okada in the main event of Forbidden Door.
He put on an incredible match against The Rainmaker, although it was not his wrestling ability that Jim Ross was paying him compliments about.
On the latest edition of the “Grilling JR” podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer heaped praise on Bryan Danieslon, but not for his in-ring work.
Instead, Jim Ross complemented him on his work behind the scenes, claiming that The American Dragon has “a great mind for the business”.
Danielson has reportedly been made a part of the AEW creative team in recent weeks, helping Tony Khan to book Saturday’s AEW Collision TV show.
Speaking on his podcast, Jim Ross had this to say about Bryan Danielson.
“What a gift he is to the business. What a gift he is to AEW. I think Bryan Danielson could write television better than anybody we got,” Jim Ross said. “I think he’s got a great mind for the business, and I’m sure that going forward, his contributions won’t be limited to what happens bell-to-bell. He’s a great addition to the team.”
Danielson is currently working on the AEW Collision creative team while he recovers from his broken arm.
