Christian Cage Rules Out WWE Return By Signing New AEW Contract

Christian Cage has signed a bumper new deal with AEW, following an appearance alongside Luchasaurus at AEW All Out 2023.

The former World Heavyweight Champion joined the TNT Champion for his match against Darby Allin. Due to Cage’s work on the outside, he helped Luchasaurus retain his belt in a wonderful match.

Following the encounter, Christian Cage appeared on the AEW All Out Post-Show Media Scrum to reveal he has signed a new contract with All Elite Wrestling.

Will Christian Cage Return To WWE?

Christian Cage will not be returning to WWE in the near future, after signing a new contract with AEW.

The “real” TNT Champion sat alongside Tony Khan after the historic show, carrying Luchasaurus’ TNT Championship belt alongside him.

Christian Cage revealed he had signed a “big, fat contract” extension with AEW, claiming Tony Khan “opened the vault” to keep him in the company.

It might have even been some of you people who said that I wasn’t worth the hype. I think I’ve proved you all wrong now, didn’t I? I know I proved Tony Khan right because he just re-signed me to a big, fat contract. He opened the vault for me and I deserve every single penny that I got.

Christian Cage on his new AEW contract

There had been some speculation that Christian Cage could leave AEW to reunite with Edge in the WWE.

However, with Edge leaving the company and likely heading to AEW, it looks like Edge & Christian could become a team again in All Elite Wrestling.

Christian Cage’s AEW Contract

Christian Cage has signed a new contract with AEW, although details about his new deal are scarce.

His previous deal was signed on the night of his debut in March 2021, before he was revealed to the crowd at AEW Revolution.

It is rumored that Christian Cage’s new AEW contract gave him a big raise, and that he is likely making over $1 million per year going forward.

This is a big reward for his incredible work alongside Luchasaurus, where he has become one of the most hated and entertaining wrestlers in the whole world.

When Does Christian Cage’s Contract End?

It’s likely Christian Cage’s new deal adds and additional few years to his contract.

His previous deal likely ended in March 2024, so Christian Cage will likely now stay with AEW for a number of additional years, stopping him from joining the WWE in the future.

Sadly for WWE, Christian Cage will be going nowhere in the next few years – he is locked down with AEW for a while.

We estimate Christian Cage’s new AEW contract ends in September 2025, adding two more years to his million dollar deal.
