FTR defended their AEW Tag Team Championships against Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett, in a overbooked, fun match at Double or Nothing 2023.
A match that saw multiple ref-bumps, a Karen Jarrett guitar attack and fun action, FTR got the win against a scheming group, lead by Jeff Jarrett.
The highlight of the match wasn’t the in-ring action – it was Jim Ross. His constant annoyance at Sonjay Dutt’s incessant yelling on the outside of the ring was hilarious.
At one point, he even got up to yell at Dutt, forgetting he was on a live broadcast. He also revealed his hatred for Karen Jarrett, calling her a “Jezebel” and “evil”.
The match called back to a number of legends, including Jackie Fargo, Harley Race and Genichiro Tenryu, and featured some great in-ring action – expected by the experience and talent in the ring.
