Kris Statlander Wants Saraya Match At All In

TBS Champion Kris Statlander has revealed her dream opponent in AEW, naming Saraya as her preferred choice of challenger at All In.

AEW are bringing their talent to London, England on August 27th, 2023 for the second All In show. Emanating from the iconic Wembley Stadium, it will be AEW’s biggest show so far, with an estimated 80,000 fans expected to attend.

A number of dream matches are rumoured for the show, including Kenny Omega vs Will Ospreay and CM Punk vs Jay White. However, Kris Statlander has her own “dream match” for the show, featuring a recently-signed star to AEW.

Statlander returned to AEW at Double or Nothing 2023, defeated Jade Cargill for the TBS Championship. She is likely to defend the title at All In, and cites Saraya as the opponent she’d love to face in Wembley Stadium.

In a new interview of Nick Hausman, TBS Champion Kris Statlander said that it “would be an amazing thing” to wrestle Saraya at All In, although notes that she is open to wrestling other stars in Wembley.

“But yeah, if I get the chance to wrestle Saraya at Wembley, I think that would be an amazing thing. I would love to absolutely do that. That’s a lot of pressure, you know. She’s the hometown hero, but I’m the champion. So it’s like, ‘Oh, no,’ but I think it would be so much fun. I’d be willing to wrestle anybody at that show, but yeah, I never even thought of that as a possibility. I think that would be so so cool, though.”

Kris Statlander is now one of the biggest female stars in AEW, becoming only the second woman to win the TBS Championship. A match against Saraya, in the challengers home country of England, could help propel her into being the top female star in all of wrestling.

She has also been representing the deaf community in AEW, using sign language during her promos and entrances on AEW Dynamite.
