AEW Full Gear 2022 is the next AEW Pay Per View event and will be shown live from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on 19th November, 2022. It will be the fourth annual edition of the event, with the first show taking place in 2019. It has become one of the big four shows in AEW, alongside Revolution, Double or Nothing and All Out.
The name Full Gear came from a skit on the web show Being the Elite. The segments joked about Adam Page getting into shape to be in his in-ring gear all the time, hence the name “Full Gear”.
AEW Full Gear 2022 is the fourth time the event has been put on by AEW. The pay per view has held some of the best and most important matches in AEW history.
In 2019, Cody Rhodes faced Chris Jericho for the AEW Championship, with the stipulation that if he lost he would never be able to challenge for the AEW Championship. Cody Rhodes was betrayed by MJF during the match, who turned on his former friend and started one of the most vicious feud in AEW history.
At AEW Full Gear 2020, Adam Page opened the show facing former tag team partner Kenny Omega. The pair faced off in the opener in the final of the AEW Eliminator tournament, with Kenny Omega winning the match and earning a shot at the AEW Championship.
The next year the pair would instead close the show, with now AEW Champion Kenny Omega defending against Casino Ladder Match winner Adam Page in the main event. In a five star classic, Adam Page defeated his former friend to finally win the AEW Championship that he had waited nearly three years to hold.

When is AEW Full Gear 2022?
AEW Full Gear 2022 has currently not been announced officially by AEW. The locational and date of the event has not been revealed. However, it is expected that the event will follow a similar time scale compared the previous events.
AEW Full Gear 2022 is expected to be the first or second weekend of November. Based on estimations, the event will take place either on the 5th or 6th of November, or the 12th or 13th of November. AEW has experimented with both Saturday and Sunday pay per views in recent years, and WWE has followed suit in recent years.
What time is AEW Full Gear 2022?
AEW Full Gear 2022 will start at 8pm EST in the United States. It will begin at 1am GMT on the morning of the next day in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The show will be proceeded by a 1 hour “Buy In” show which will start at 7pm EST/ 12am GMT in the United States and Great Britain and Ireland respectively.

Jon Moxley vs MJF – AEW Championship
The main event of AEW Full Gear 2022 is the AEW Championship match. This pits Casino Ladder Match winner MJF against Jon Moxley in a blockbuster match between two of the biggest stars in AEW. MJF will hope to win his first ever title in AEW with the win, while Moxley boasts three world championship reigns in the company.

The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens) with Billy Gunn vs Swerve In Our Glory (Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland) – AEW Tag Team Championships
The third match between The Acclaimed and Swerve in our Glory is set to take place at Full Gear 2022. The match will be contested for The Acclaimed’s AEW Tag Team Championships, which they won off their opponents at AEW Grand Slam. The two also wrestled at All Out 2022.
The match will have an interesting dynamic, as Swerve has been acting heelish during the feud, much to the disdain of his partner Kieth Lee. This came to a head when he kidnapped Billy Gunn and broke his fingers, stopping him from “scissoring” Max Caster and Anthony Bowens

Toni Storm vs Jamie Hayter – AEW Women’s Championship
The AEW Interim Women’s World Championship is one the line as Jamie Hayter challengers champion Toni Storm. The Kiwi champion won the belt after Thunder Rosa was forced onto the side-lines and an interim champion had to be crown. She has defended it a number of times, but it seems like it’s finally time to strap the rocket to Hayter and give her the title the fans would be ecstatic to see her win.
