Adam Cole and Britt Baker set to be first couple World Champions?

Adam Cole and Britt Baker set to be first couple World Champions?

Adam Cole and Britt Baker are two of the biggest stars in AEW, and most fans will also know that they are currently dating. The pair first got together in 2017 after matching on the dating app Bumble. Britt Baker had just started her career at that point and was already practicing as a dentist, whilst Cole was a star in ROH and on his way to being signed by WWE.

The pair are not shy about their relationship, but it wasn’t often brought up on television. That was, at least, until Adam Cole led the Elite into a showdown with Orange Cassidy and Best Friends. Baker joined her boyfriend in an attack on the Best Friends, taking down Kris Statlander and former the team of Adam Cole and Britt Baker for the first time in AEW.

The due faced Kris Statlander and Orange Cassidy the following week. Adam Cole and Britt Baker defeated Statlander and Cassidy on the 19th January 2022 edition of Dynamite, solidifying themselves as the power couple of AEW.

However, the pair could be looking to bigger and better things. Britt Baker is a dentist as well as the AEW Women’s Championship, and is one of the biggest stars in the women’s division of AEW. However, Adam Cole has yet to match his partner’s success, having not won any gold in AEW since his debut in September.

That could be about to change, however. At AEW Revolution 2022, Adam Cole vs Adam Page will main event the show in a match for Page’s AEW Championship. The match comes after Page has gone through some hellish matches, defending his championship against Bryan Danielson twice and against Lance Archer once in a Texas Death Match.

Adam Cole could become the fifth man to hold the AEW Championship, should he defeat Page at AEW Revolution. He is currently undefeated in official matches in AEW, his only loss coming in an Unsanctioned match against Orange Cassidy on AEW Dynamite.

Cole is unlikely to defeat Adam Page at AEW Revolution, however. Page is currently having an incredible run as the AEW Champion and looks unbeatable at the moment. I fully expect him to defeat Cole next week on Revolution to retain his championship.

It looks like MJF will be the man to defeat Page for the AEW Championship. He is currently as hot as ever, with the MJF promo on AEW Dynamite being hailed as one of the best AEW promos of all time, as well as being the first man in 8 years to beat CM Punk by pin fall.

Britt Baker

However, Adam Cole may not be the only man to walk out of Revolution without a championship belt. The AEW Women’s Championship will be put on the line, with Britt Baker taking on her long time rival in AEW Thunder Rosa. Rosa defeated Baker in 2021 in one of the best AEW matches so far, pinning her in a Unsanctioned match that was one of the bloodiest AEW matches of all time.

Britt Baker is taking on Thunder Rosa at AEW Revolution 2022 and looks to finally lose her long held AEW Women’s Champion. Baker has been the main focus of the Women’s division for years and fans are excited to see one of the most talented women in AEW finally hold the belt.

While we could seen the dawn of the Adam Cole and Britt Baker age in AEW, more than likely the pair will miss out and walk away from the event lacking in the gold they desire.

Whether that is the right decision, that is up to you.
