Adam Cole vs Adam Page has been confirmed for AEW Revolution, as Cole interrupted the AEW Champion during an interview on AEW Dynamite.
Adam Page was in the ring, being interviewed by Tony Schiavone about last weeks title defence against Lance Archer in a Texas Death Match. Page was about to talk about his victory over the Murder Hawk Monster, but was soon interrupted by former NXT Champion Adam Cole.
Cole immediately told Tony Schiavone to “Get out of his ring” before squaring up to the AEW Champion Adam Page. It looked certain that an Adam Cole vs Adam Page match as the pair almost came to blows in one of the most heated promo segments of all time.
Page mocked Cole, saying that he doesn’t know how Cole feel’s to see his friends build a wrestling empire without him. He then goes on to say that it must be weird to be in the ring with his Bullet Club Buddy and Ring of Honor roommate.
Cole then talks about how no-one has mentioned Page’s name in weeks, and how his friendships with the Young Bucks and The Dark Order showed that he cannot keep any relationships in his life.
Cole says Page is an unbelievable wrestler and champion, but Page has been “the other Adam” whenever they’re in the same promotion together. They shake hands and Cole says that the best man will win their match, before exiting the ring.
reRAagon then attacked Page from behind, before the Dark Order made the save. This looks to set up Adam Cole vs Adam Page for the AEW Championship at AEW Revolution, and a match between reDRagon and The Dark order sometime down the line.
Adam Cole vs Adam Page
The match between Adam Cole vs Adam Page looks set to take place at AEW Revolution 2022. It will be the first time the pair face off since Adam Cole’s last match in Ring of Honor, when he lost to Adam Page.
It is set to be part of a blockbuster AEW Revolution card, which will also feature matches lik MJF vs CM Punk in a dog collar match, and a triple three way tag team championship match featuring Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus.
