Samoa Joe won the TNT Champion from Darby Allin on last nights episode of AEW Dynamite. The former NXT Champion became a two-time TNT Champion with victory over Allin, hitting him with a top rope musclebuster and pinning him for the win.
The King of Television also holds the ROH Television Champion and is now the only double-belt holder in AEW. Previously, PAC held the All-Atlantic and Trios championships but lost the latter recently in a series of matches against The Elite.
In a hard-fought Dynamite main event Samoa Joe defeated Darby Allin to win the TNT Championship. The bout was a no-holds barred match and featured a series of innovative weapons and brutal and dangerous action.
Allin entered the match wearing a jacket covered head to toe in thumb tacks. He also hit a suicide dive through a table and revealed the wooden slats underneath the ring mat using a cutter.
Unfortunately, it was him who would feel the brunt of his innovation. Samoa Joe hit a top-rope musclebuster onto the exposed wood to win the match and become a two-time TNT Champion.
Wardlow returned to AEW after weeks out with an injury to challenge Samoe Joe. They will likely face of in the near future on AEW Dynamite or Rampage.
