Roman Reigns Next Title Defense Revealed For Crown Jewel 2023

Roman Reigns‘ next Undisputed WWE Universal Championship defense has been revealed, amid criticism of his lack of wrestling matches this year.

Despite controversially defending his title against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39, Roman Reigns has failed to defend the world title more than once in the last six months.

He has instead been involved in tag team matches involving the rest of The Bloodline, including a tag team match alongside Solo Sikoa, where he was pinned by Jey Uso at Money in the Bank 2023.

He also defended the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Jey Uso at Summerslam 2023, wrestling in a disappointing main event that drew the ire of the WWE fans, labelling the heel turn of Jimmy Uso in the match as “stupid”.

Despite criticism of his title reign and a lack of pay per view matches this year, Roman Reigns next title defense won’t be until WWE’s next show in Saudi Arabia.

Missing out on Payback 2023 completely, Roman Reigns won’t put his title on the line until November 2023.

Logan Paul faced Roman Reigns for the world title at Crown Jewel 2022.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it is stated that Reigns will next defend the gold at WWE Crown Jewel on November 4, 2023.

This will be nearly three months after his last title defense at Summerslam 2023, and helps stretch out his record-breaking title reign even more, without him doing anything.

Dave Meltzer did not report who Roman Reigns will be facing at Crown Jewel 2023, although names like Bad Bunny, Logan Paul and Damian Priest have been thrown around for the event.
