CM Punk has not been seen since All Out 2022, where a disastrous press conference ended in a backstage fight with The Elite.
He has been injured and suspended since then, awaiting his chance to return to AEW.
Fans have been mixed on his return. Some can’t wait for him to come back, while others would rather see him fired from AEW and removed from the wrestling business entirely.
In this article, we’ll look at if CM Punk will be at Double or Nothing 2023, and his impact on the new AEW Saturday TV show that is in the works.
Will CM Punk Be At AEW Double Or Nothing 2023
Piecing together the latest reports, we can predict that CM Punk will not appear at AEW Double or Nothing 2023.
CM Punk has been absent from AEW since All Out 2022, where he defeated Jon Moxley for the AEW Championship.
He suffered an injury during that match, plus insulted The Elite and Colt Cabana in the post-show press conference. This was followed by a backstage fight, which saw both Punk and The Elite suspended by the company.
Current reports indicate that CM Punk will return to AEW television on the debut episode of their new Saturday night TV show.
Dubbed “AEW Collision”, this two-hour show will rival AEW Dynamite as the company’s flagship program, and be used to facilitate a new brand split in the company – mimicking the WWE.
The show is current pencilled in for the 17th of June 2023 and will taped in CM Punk’s hometown of Chicago. Just like his debut in August 2021, he is likely the surprise guest on the show, drawing huge numbers as he does.
This will feed into AEW All In 2 in Wembley Stadium, where CM Punk is rumoured to be wrestling Kenny Omega in a huge match.
