Kenny Omega vs Bryan Danielson At Double Or Nothing 2023?

Bryan Danielson vs Kenny Omega look set to have the biggest rematch in AEW history at Double or Nothing 2023, following Danielson’s return to AEW last night.

At the event, Kenny Omega defended his IWGP United States Championship against Jeff Cobb.

Cobb is a wrestler for New Japan, and a part of the United Empire faction, helmed by Will Ospreay.

Omega pinned Jeff Cobb with his One-Winged Angel finishing move, but was interrupted in celebration by the Blackpool Combat Club.

Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta surrounded the ring, circling Omega (similar to how The Shield would in the WWE).

However, Bryan Danielson returned to AEW for the first time since Revolution 2023, seemingly to save Omega was a brutal beat down. He warned the BCC to get away, pacing around the ring in anger at his teammates.

Sadly for Kenny Omega, it was all a ruse. After lulling him into a false sense of security, and helping him onto his feet, Danieslson then launched a Busaiku Knee into the skull of the Best Bout Machine, before locking in the LaBelle lock.

With the recent attack of the Young Bucks backstage, and Don Callis rivalry with Adam Page, there was nobody to come out to help the helpless Omega.

Kenny Omega vs Bryan Danielson

This looks to set up an incredible rematch between Kenny Omega and Bryan Danielson, likely at AEW Double or Nothing 2023.

The first bout the two had against each other in AEW took place in 2021, and was the first of Danielson’s AEW career.

The first Bryan Danielson vs Kenny Omega match is widely regarded as one of the best AEW matches ever. It ended in a 30-minute time-limit draw, and fans have waited patiently for the rematch to occur.

It finally seems to be here.

The match will likely take place at AEW Double or Nothing 2023, on the fourth anniversary of the first AEW pay per view event.

It is such a high-profile match that it could even main event the show, over the four way title match that sees MJF defending his AEW Championship against the Four Pillars.

This rivalry also looks like it will not end there. After Kenny Omega vs Bryan Danielson, it is expected to see The Elite take on the Blackpool Combat Club, in a Blood & Guts match.
