MJF’s AEW Return Set for All Out 2022 in Casino Ladder Match?

MJF could return to AEW as a surprise entrant in the Casino Ladder match at All Out 2022. The star has been missing since the AEW Dynamite after Double or Nothing 2022, one night after losing to Wardlow in the opening match of the show.

After his big loss, he cut a scathing promo on Tony Khan, lamenting his current position in AEW and begging Khan to release him from his contract. After months of rumoured unhappiness due to his relatively low pay, he yelled at the camera “F****** Fire Me” and calling the AEW President a “F****** Mark”.

MJF has not been seen since and has been rarely mentioned. However, recent rumours of his return came when AEW announced the next Casino Ladder Match to take place at All Out 2022. The match traditionally features a “joker card” entrant, who is a surprise competitor to enter as the last entrant in the match.

In previous years, the surprise competitor has included former AEW Champion Adam Page, former TNA star Ethan Page and former FTW Champion Brian Cage. Of those men, Adam Page won the match and used his title shot to become AEW Champion, defeating Kenny Omega at Full Gear 2022.

MJF could return at All Out 2022 as the Casino Ladder Match “Joker Card”. He has proved himself to be a top star in the company and thinks he should be paid as much as stars like Jon Moxley and CM Punk. However, he has been pushed to the back of the pile due to the signings of former WWE superstars like Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole, so a big return at All Out could be the perfect place for MJF to comeback.

He would be the favourite to win the match, should he be entered into the bout. A win would earn him a shot against the AEW Champion and could have him face former rival CM Punk in a rematch. They last faced off at AEW Revolution in a Dog Collar Match, with Punk coming out of the event as the winner.

MJF vs CM Punk
MJF battled CM Punk at AEW Revolution 2022, after beating him twice on AEW Dynamite.

However, rumours of MJF returning sooner have been thrown around. He could make his comeback on the AEW Dynamite that sees Jon Moxley vs CM Punk, or even could ruin the All Out main event by attacking the two competitors in the main event.

The biggest match for All Out 2022 was planned to be Jon Moxley vs CM Punk, but creative plans have changed over the past few weeks. Other ideas thrown around see a Triple Threat between Punk, Moxley and Adam Page heavily rumoured, after the current AEW Champion broke the script to call out Hangman on the latest AEW show.

MJF returning to AEW at All Out 2022 would be one of the biggest returns in wrestling and would be the biggest moment in the company since CM Punk’s return last year. Fans have been asking “where is MJF?” since May and could finally be ready to see the “salt of the earth” superstar once again.
