FTR have added another wrestling legend to their roster of managers for an upcoming wrestling show. After ditching former Four Horsemen Tully Blanchard, the duo are set to have Bret Hart manage them at a local indie show in the coming weeks.

That is not all, however. PWFLive.com and Mick Foley’s twitter account have revealed that Mick Foley will manage AEW’s FTR on Saturday May 14 2022 in the PWF Show at York Comprehensive School in York, South Carolina. It is the first time Mick Foley will be involved with AEW talents, and has thrown fuel on the fire that former WWE Champion Mick Foley will sign with AEW in the coming weeks.

Mick Foley is one of the biggest stars in wrestling history and a legend in all aspects of the sport. He recently interacted with FTR on Twitter, after reports of Bret Hart signing a new deal with WWE over the constant talk over him signing with AEW.

With reports of Hart signing a WWE deal due to the constant mentioning of him by Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, Mick Foley humorously took to Twitter ask “Dear @DaxFTR and @CashWheelerFTR – can you guys start mentioning me on here and tag @VinceMcMahon in?”

Mick Foley has never been one to keep continuously loyal to Vince McMahon, so signing for AEW is not out of the question. He signed for TNA after leaving WWE in 2007, and is also an alumni of both ECW and WCW. Mick Foley in AEW would be a huge coup for Tony Khan, if he can utilise Foley as well as he has other legends like Jake Roberts and Sting.

Mick Foley seems unlikely to get cleared for a match in AEW, although after seeing Sting’s career end in WWE, anything is possible. Even if Mick Foley’s AEW run does not contain an in-ring match, he could theoretically compete in a cinematic match, in the vein of the “Final Deletion” matches in TNA.

Mick Foley could also sign for AEW in a management role. A young star like needing guidance could grapple onto Mick Foley’s wisdom and lean to be a star, and with Mick’s incredible microphone skills he could get anyone over in the blink of an eye.

With Mick Foley’s known admiration and support for women’s wrestling, he would be an excellent candidate to help take one women’s star to the next level. He could help elevate someone like Kris Statlander or Jamie Hayter by managing the and help turn them into some of the top women in the entirety of AEW.
